Transferring Music to the Motorola RAZR V3xx

by on August 13, 2007

Q: How do you download music from say iTunes to the AT&T Motorola RAZR V3xx?

A: Before attempting to transfer songs to your Motorola RAZR V3xx you must determine whether or not it can play the songs you have downloaded from the iTunes music store. According to the How To Guide, the RAZR V3xx will play both AAC and MP3 files, but it is unclear whether or not it will play tracks protected by Apple’s Fairplay DRM. MP3 and AAC files that you have ripped from your own CDs or that you have downloaded from other sources should play on the device.

Other users have reported that the iTunes software is not installed on the RAZR V3xx and it will not sync with your existing iTunes library. There are a few other ways to transfer files to the RAZR including using the USB data cable, transferring the files over a Bluetooth connection (if your PC is Bluetooth capable), copying the files to your MicroSD memory card using a memory card reader, and downloading songs from the web directly to the handset.
