What Causes PC Slow Down? by elise on September 11, 2007
An Into Tomorrow listener submitted the following question!
Q: Why does it take my computer longer and longer to start up the longer I own it?
A: There are a lot of things that can slow a PC down over time. Poor maintenance is usually the number one reason why a PC slows down. You need to regularly scan your PC for not only spyware and viruses, but you should defragment your hard drive and remove applications that you are not using regularly. You should also minimize the amount of items that start up when Windows boots up. There are a number of applications out there that can help you clean up your PC including CCleaner, Revo Uninstaller, and JkDefragGUI, which will help you keep your PC clean and running quickly.
