How can I tweak the speed of my internet connection and test the speed as well?

Q: Can you control the speed of your broadband internet connection if the person with the hub is some else in the house? Also can you download a speedometer to watch the speed of your connection almost constantly

    I need more information before I can help you.

    * Which broadband internet service are you using?

    * You mention a router. Is this router in addition to your broadband modem? If so, what is the model number? Is the router 802.11n?

    * What are you trying to accomplish. Are you trying to limit someone’s bandwidth, increase someone’s bandwidth, other?

    There are many websites with speedometers. Once I know which kind of broadband internet connection you are using, I can recommend one of them to you.
