Q: Why are these AWstats fies on my computer?

PR56.tmp
PR57.tmp
PRAE5.tmp
PRAE6.tmp
PRAE7.tmp
PRAE8.tmp
PRAE9.tmp
PRAEA.tmp

Each of these files are about 600mb in size. I looked them up and they are used for AWstats and I have no idea what that is. Can I delete them and how did they get on my computer in the first place?
