Do they make a remote control for iPods?

Q: I was wondering if there is a way to hook up a wireless remote to my 2nd gen ipod nano so that when it is docked on the speaker system across the room I can control the ipod by remote. My speaker system did not come with a remote. Thank you!

    Apple makes a universal dock that comes with a remote control: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB125

    It is compatible with the gen 2 nano

      I was looking at that but I’m not sure how it works. Does it plug into the slot at the bottom of the ipod? Because that’s where the speaker system hooks up to. Would I be able to hook up the universal dock and the speaker system at the same time?

    Yes, the audio cable from your stereo plugs into the back of the dock.
