What is GuardedID and should I be worried that it is on my computer?

Q: How would I have gotten GuardedID on my computer? I have Vista Ultimate on my PC and need to know what I can do to get rid of it.

In Microsoft Windows Vista, you can remove reputable programs from your computer by going Start Menu (the blue circle in the lower-left corner) => Control Panel => Uninstall a program (underneath the Programs section).

The GuardedID website seems suspicious to me, so I would definitely appreciate learning the results of the normal “Uninstall a program” procedure. Thanks!
