Go Start Menu => right-click on Computer => Device Manager => single left-click on the + by DVD/CD-ROM drives => right click on the drive and choose Uninstall. Repeat this procedure for all devices that have an ! symbol. Restart your computer. Once your computer has restarted, connect it to the internet. You will get a message for each device you uninstalled, asking if it is alright to search online for drivers. Choose “”Yes, search online this time only” while reinstalling each device.
If your CD/DVD burner continues to fail burning discs, visit http://www.hp.com/#Support to manually download your laptop’s missing drivers. Then restart your computer and try again to burn a disc.
If that fails too, the problem is with your media player. Which media player are you using?
I look forward to reading your reply. Thanks!
