		<description>The LCD tech has come a long way to improving picture quality over  some of the initial versions.  I&#039;m partial to LCD because much lighter and energy efficient.  Plasmas can be very energy hungry.

If you want to go to town on researching your next TV I highly suggest you check out the AVS Forums: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/  

You probably won&#039;t find more detail anywhere on impressions of home theater software.  Just note that you&#039;re going to find some posters unhappy about every piece of hardware out there, so you&#039;ll need to weigh opinions.  

Personally, I&#039;m a big fan of the Sharp Aquos series.  I&#039;ve had one of their 42&quot; LCDs for a year and half now and absolutely love it.
