How do I uninstall Internet Explorer 8?
by Guest Geek on April 7, 2009Q: I installed Internet Explorer 8 on my computer and it made it really slow. I would like to remove it. I was told by someone that did this that it didn’t remove everything and changed some settings. Can you give me some advice?

Follow the instructions at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957700 to remove Internet Explorer 8 and then run http://www.ccleaner.com/ and http://www.defraggler.com/ to make your computer faster and more stable.
PS: You may wish to download Firefox prior to uninstalling IE 8, just in case IE 6/7 fails to return to normal operation.
