How come I cannot get Word Viewer to install on my computer running Windows Vista?
by michele2522123 on April 27, 2009Q: I had Windows XP Home on my last computer and now I have Windows Vista Home. I tried downloading the Word Viewer 2003 so I can read my docs, but every time I download, it just goes through the process like it downloaded, but never opens. When I check my temp files, nothings there. I’ve heard it works fine for people. Why am I having a problem? I even turned off my firewall and tried it, but it still didn’t work.

Microsoft has a newer version you can try.
See if this works for you:

Well this is a little embarrassing, but I realized that nothing was saving to my Temp folder. I restarted the computer and tried the download again, and it worked. I now have the viewer and have tested it on my word documents and it works. Thanks for posting my question.
