How come my Lexmark E234 printer states that it is not spooling?

Q: My Lexmark E234 printer has stopped working. States that the printer is not spooling. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall and it still does not work. My printer is approximately 1.5 years old. Do I need to update the driver or just get a new printer?

    Take a look at this entry in the Microsoft Knowledge base, if it sounds like the problem you’re having they have a utility to fix the problem:

    I also suggest trying the latest drivers from Lexmark:
    http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:0:0:0
