Is it possible to have a text field to expand without using an internal scrollbar?

Q: In Adobe LiveCycle Designer, how exactly can I get a text field to expand when a user enters comments instead of the form/field utilizing an internal scroll bar?

By a text field I am going to assume you mean the textarea tag which takes the arguments rows and cols (columns).

Other sites, like askageek.com comment area, are not resizable. What happens is when you enter in more text you get the scrollbar that appears and lets you scroll to see your text.

Some sites allow you to resize the textarea manually, which is usually common for blogging software like WordPress where the edit window will be resiable.

The third type, which is not very common, are sites that use JavaScript to automatically resize the textarea to get bigger as you type more information.

I have not personally created the auto resizing so I will point you to SitePoints article on How to Build an Auto-Expanding Textarea and the example that goes with it.
