How can I connect my Windows 98 computer to my cable Internet connection?

Q: I do not have an Ethernet card or hook up on my computer running Windows 98. Is there any way to still get connected to my cable Internet connection?

If you’ve got a USB plug available, just grab this for $10:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833156133

That will allow you to plug in an Ethernet cable and you should be all set. The Specs page on newegg says it has drivers for Windows 98 as well.

Also, you should seriously consider a system upgrade. If money is tight, take a look at craigslist.org and find some local deals on used pcs.
