How come I cannot install World of Warcraft or Windows Live after reinstalling Windows XP?
by xullick on October 2, 2009Q: I reinstalled Windows XP on my computer. While reinstalling programs I an error report when trying to install them Windows Live and World of Warcraft. Any ideas why they keep shutting down and wont let me install?
I’d need to at least see the error messages to come up with any possible solutions.

First, make sure all your drivers are installed, including the latest version of your display driver (from nvidia or ati), reboot and try installing wow again.
If you get the same error again, try going into the application logs
Control Panel> Admin Tools>Event Viewer>Applications
There should be some more detailed error messages in there that might be helpful.
