How come my MacBook reboots when I tell it to shutdown?

Q: I just bought a macbook. It’s brand new and I turned it on and it worked well. However, every time I try to turn it off it restarts! What’s wrong?

    There are a couple things it could be but I would not mess around if I were you. I would call up apple or make an apt to go into an apple store. They will quickly be able to figure out if it is a setting or a hardware issue so you can make sure to have years or worry free computing. The support is, after all, one of the reasons you pay a little premium for a MacBook.
