If you do not have anything confidential in the documents then you can use a web based service like ZamZar.com and it lets you convert just about any format to a different format. The problem I have with it is that it emails you the results and I really hate giving out my email for something like this. The results were okay in my tests with all the words being correct but the positioning being a little off but nothing that was difficult to fix.
