Is a linksys WAP54G router compatible with AT&T Internet?

Q: I have a linksys WAP54G router and am wanting to switch to AT&T Internet but do not want to pay for an extra router that they have. Are they compatible?

    I am pretty sure the AT&T DSL modem has a wireless router built in at no extra cost but if it does not you can connect your linksys router to it just like you have it connected to your current modem.
