How come the Smart Wizard CD tells me my NIC has an error and suggests rebooting my computer?
by kas_1092 on December 1, 2009Q: I’m trying to set up the WNR2000 wireless router with the Smart Wizard CD. When I get to the 2nd step it says that my NIC has an error and suggests restarting my computer. I restart my computer and the same thing happens. What should I do?

Can you provide some more detail about your network setup?
Has this network interface card (NIC) worked correctly with a previous router? If the NIC is setup correctly from use with a prior router then it might be an issue with the smart wizard software. Consider just doing a manual configuration as discussed in the setup guide.
