How come my computer plays Dragon Age for a few minutes then just restarts?

by on December 19, 2009

Q: I’ve been trying to play Dragon Age: Origins these last two weeks. I’m having a problem though. I get about 15 seconds – 2 minutes into playing and my system reboots. I know my system isn’t overheating (first thought), fixed a conflict with my .Net Framework and my C++ (not sure if it caused problems but I found it and fixed it), updated my drivers, and now I’m completely lost. If anyone needs any info please let me know and if someone could help that would be great.

Did you check Windows event viewer for any details?

  2.

How do I bring up the even viewer?

  3.

Control Panel> Admin Tools> Event Viewer

I don’t really know what I’m looking for in that, but I don’t see anything that isn’t repeated over and over again. Nothing seems to stand out.

In that case your best bet is going to be either the bioware forums or EA’s support:

I’m on them, and still no answers. Been waiting on email from Bioware, AMD, and Asus for a couple of days now too.

I got a message finally, “Input Device Not Supported:”
