Is there anyway to get a Canon LBP2900 printer to work with a MacBook?

by on December 28, 2009

Q: I have a Canon LBP2900 printer that I used for my desktop PC but I have bought a MacBook and the Canon is not supported. Can I use another drive to allow the printer to work with the Mac or do I just have to buy a new printer?

  1.

If you have a Time Capsule you might be able to connect the printer, if it is a USB printer, to the Time Capsule and use that to share the printer. When you do this I think you just need to use a generic print driver but I have never actually done it so I cannot guarantee it will work.

You can read a full discussion on the printer at http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1268512&start=0&tstart=0 that you might find helpful as well.
