Q: How do I stop the Windows Installer pop-ups from opening each time I open a Microsoft application or program?

  1.

Is it only when you open Microsoft applications and can you be more specific about which applications it happens with?

I suspect something happened and you tried to install something else into Word, Excel, or PowerPoint and it is now trying to continue that install for you each time you open the application. The best way to solve this is to go back into the install utility and uncheck the new stuff that you tried to install.

It is possible that you tried to use a feature that was not installed and that fired off the program trying to install something so it might not have been you actually going to the install program itself.

If this is the actual problem then there are only two ways to fix it. The first is to put in the CD it is asking for. The second is to tell it you don’t want to install anymore. The 2nd is obviously a little tricky because you have to figure out what it is trying to install so you can get into the installer and tell it you don’t want it anymore.
