Will using my cell phone as an MP3 player overseas cause me to be charged international connection fees?

Q: Will use of the mp3 feature on my Samsung Rugby overseas incur charges to my cell phone bill? I am an AT&T subscriber.. I just want to be able to use it as an mp3 not as a cell phone but am concerned that simply turning the phone on overseas will incur international connection charges?

You always have to be careful when traveling overseas with a cell phone. The best thing to do would be to put it on airplane mode. This will make it so the phone wont try to make any kind of wireless connections and then you should be safe.

You just have to make sure not to turn off the airplane mode by accident.
