How come when I downloaded Adobe Reader it said it was going to be one size but now it is much bigger?

Q: I have Adobe Reader 9.3. installed on my PC. When I downloaded this it said the file was 43 MB. On my pc programs it show this Adobe Reader 9.3 at 142.00MB . Why is this?

    The installer file you downloaded of Reader is compressed to cut down on download time. When the software is installed the included files are decompressed so that they can be used by the computer.
