The other major difference is cost, MSE doesn’t cost you a dime.
Norton 360 costs $80 or $100 for the premier edition. The only difference between the two is the $80 edition offers you only 2Gigs of on-line backup storage while the $100 edition offers 25Gigs.
The $80-$100 only offers you protection/backup storage for one year. Renewal of your subscription costs $60 a year.
If you want on-line backup storage, you can also check out dropbox.com, which will give you two gigs of backup space for free, and you can purchase more if you need it.

Norton 360 has a lot more features as seen here ( http://www.symantec.com/norton/360 ). MSE is only for anti-virus/spyware/malware.
