Q: How do I write a shell script in DOS to display a message?

    Technically it is called a batch script and it is as simple as creating a file, lets do hello.bat, and then putting the following code in it

    @echo Hello World!
    @pause

    The echo will print out “Hello World!” on the screen and pause will make the DOS window stay open until you press a button. For more detailed information we suggest you visit My First Batch File.
