Most common reasons passwords fail

by on April 12, 2010

Q: I am having problems logging into websites that require user names and passwords. What could be causing this problem?

A: There are two things that commonly cause this problem. The first one is having your caps lock on. This key is usually on the left hand side of the keyboard and when on usually emits some kind of light. You will know if this is on because everything you type will be in capitol letters.

The other thing that might cause a problem is having your num lock or number lock key on. This is usually on the right hand side near your number pad if you have a full size keyboard with a number pad.

The best way to test is to open up a text document and type your password in the document and make sure it looks the way it should. If your password does not look correct then you know that is your problem.
