How come all my AOL email is gone after my toddler was pressing buttons on my computer?

Q: This morning my toddler was pressing buttons on my computer and the next thing I looked all of my new mail on AOL was gone. I don’t know where it is because it isn’t in recently deleted.

All of my contact info is still in tact but I had about 300 new emails that are now missing! Do you have any idea how I can find and retrieve them?
