What program do I need to be able to edit PDF files?

by on April 15, 2010

Q: We use WordPerfect at work. Also have Adobe Reader 9 and Open Office. I can open PDF files that are e-mailed but cannot edit. Do we need to buy Adobe Writer or is there another way to edit?

Adobe Writer is the standard editor for PDF files. There are a number of alternatives, and all offer different levels of features and price points. Most free offerings only let you print to PDF, not actually edit the files with a great deal of detail.
