How can I get wireless Internet on my desktop by way of my laptop?

by on June 8, 2010

Q: How can I make my desktop get internet from my laptops wireless (neighbors open signal) using my Belkin g wireless (f5d7234-4) and/or Linksys RangePlus Wireless Network usb Adapter Model wusb100 ver.2? I’ve tried re-configuring my routers config and also getting on laptops signal and checking internet sharing, and I have had no luck. Can anyone tell how I can do this?

Question doesn’t make sense. Do you have your own internet connection that you’re using the Belkin router with? If you’re using your neighbors wireless, do you have their permission to use it on their terms? Otherwise, this would be illegal – whether it’s unsecured or not.
