Will my computer run Sims 3 even if the specs on my computer are less than the minimum requirements?

by on July 29, 2010

Q: I want to play Sims 3 but I don’t think the computers reading the disk. The game needs at least a 2.4 GHz processor minimum and mines a 1.8 GHz. It also needs a 1.5GB RAM, and mines a 1GB RAM.
My video card is good, and is compatible.

Could I still play the game AT ALL, even if it’s a bit laggy or whatever? If I can, then why can’t I access it at all, the icon doesn’t even come up?

  1.

Minimum is usually very minimum, they want to sell as many games as they can.

We always suggest this site to tell if your computer can run a specific game.

I suggest you go back and make sure you installed the game correctly. Try installing again. If it’s installed it wont let you install again.

If you are still having trouble check the sims3 support site.
