How come I see the HTML code in an HTML document?

by on September 24, 2010

Q: I’m trying to learn HTML. When I save the HTML and try to open it in a web browser it just shows all of the coding. What am I doing wrong?

This is what I’m putting in
<html>
<head>

<title>How much wood could you burn?</title>

</head>

<body>

<h1>How much wood can you burn?</h1>

<p>
Well according to me, wood is good to burn.
It is awesome!!!
</p>

</body>
</html>

  1.

    Make sure you’re saving the file as a .html file.
