How can I fix my computer after AVG deleted explorer.exe?

Q: AVG deleted explorer.exe from my laptop as a Trojan. All my desktop icons and start taskbar are gone. I’ve tried using your answer for the registry keys but it didn’t work please help!!

        Cheeky, try what fletcha mentions below. Also, if you reboot the PC does the taskbar & icons come back?

    Try to hit Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open your Task manager. Once Task Manager is open go to File > Run and type “explorer” If that doesn’t work try “explorer.exe”. That should bring all of your icons/Task Menu back unless something has become corrupt.
