Why does my Dell computer get kicked off the Internet each time I turn on my MacBook?

Q: Heres whats happening:

1 computer in the household is a Dell with Windows XP, and the other is a MacBook with Mac OS X. If the Dell is already connected to the wireless internet (Linksys router), and I turn on my MacBook and connect to the same wireless internet, the Dell always gets booted off. But then the Dell is able to connect after hitting repair. And then both computers are able to be on the internet at the same time with no problem. So, I am asking if there is a way to prevent the Dell from getting booted off every time I turn on my MacBook?

  1.

What if you have your Macbook on the network first then turn the Dell on? Does that cause any issues? Do any error pop up about an IP Address conflict? have you or anyone ever set a static IP Address on any of your computers? Also can you please tell me what brand/model wireless Router/Access Point you are using?
    Thanks!
