It is fairly simple to remote duplicate tracks but time consuming

    1. Open Windows Media Player

    2. Click on the “Library” option in the left pane of the Media Player screen. This will populate a list of songs that are in your Library.

    3. Now look for the duplicate song that you want to remove from the Media Player.

    4. Right-click on one of the duplicate songs and choose “Delete” from the window that pops up. Then it will ask you to confirm that you want to remove the duplicate entry. Select “Yes” when prompted.

If this method is taking to long you can try finding a third party application*.

*Warning: 3rd party applications have not been tested and may have undesirable results. While the first method may take longer it will have the safest results.
