Q: I’m looking for a Blu Ray DVD player for the wifi streaming capabilities of internet content alone. I don’t have a high def or 3-D TV. But I do want the best, streaming technology I can find. What should I be looking for?

LG and Samsung are both top manufacturers as well Sony since they created the Blu Ray format.

What you will be looking for all depends on the price you want to pay.
Below is the links to all three manufacturers. They normally start arouns $150 it seems with Wireless conectivity. All have their own wirless format with applications on them. I might also suggest if you are looking to go with BLu Ray in investing in a HD TV as that is the biggest benefit of Blu Ray.

Another Option may be the Sony Playstation 3 which has wireless, internet, facebook, netflix, as well as many other features (some may cost additional fees.)

I’d really suggest not spending any money on a blu-ray player until you upgrade to an HDTV. You’re not going to see any picture difference, and if you TV is too old you might not even have the right connections on the back of your TV to support the player.

For the best options for streaming content, I’d suggest also taking a look at the following options:
