Is it possible to move an esn from one cell phone to another?

Q: Can you take an esn from a broken phone same type and switch it to a good phone with a bad esn?

  1.

Electronic Serial Numbers can’t be transfered between devices. Generally the only way an ESN should become “bad” is if the device was flagged as stolen or there was some kind of a serious problem with the account.

Contact customer support for your cell phone service provider and they should be able to resolve the issues with the bad esn.

There may be a way to do this but not without the proper tools.

If you have a replacement phone the best thing for you to do would be to call your provider and up date the new esn with them and that will activate the phone.
