What is the best way to sync contacts from MS Outlook to a BlackBerry?

by on January 14, 2011

Q: Our company employees use blackberries. We keep all our contacts (about 3,000) in Microsoft Outlook. We have a “combined” folder that holds everyone’s contacts so that way we can all access them.

For the last year and a half, we have CONSTANTLY had problems syncing our contacts with our blackberries. Again this morning, I get a phone call about a contact not coming up on their blackberry (for a contact we’ve worked with for a long time).

I’m thinking in the year 2011, that there HAS to be a better system or way of syncing contacts with blackberries. Is anyone else having this problem? Do you have a lot of contacts in MS Outlook and problems syncing to your Blackberries? Does anyone have any ideas of how to help me fix this constant problem.? I appreciate ANY and ALL comments please!!

I’m desperate – I cannot go through another year with this same problem – THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY!

  1.

A lot depends on how you’re company is configured. I’d hope that you’re using Blackberry Enterprise Server to manage your company Blackberries and using that as your method for accessing the Global Outlook Address Book.

Either way, get in touch with whoever the account manager is that sold you all these Blackberries. They have a financial incentive to see that your company is happy.
