Is it easy to set a restore point with Windows 7?

Q: Just bought a Gateway without a restore point set. Is this easy to do in Windows 7? Also what is the best adware cleaner to download?

Yes, it is pretty easy, here are some instructions with pictures from Microsoft: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Create-a-restore-point

I suggest using windows backup as well to saveguard non-windows data: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Back-up-your-files

For adware cleaning, I always suggest Microsoft Security Essentials. http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ It’s free and takes care of adware, viruses and spyware. I suggest uninstalling any anti-virus (Norton, McAfee, etc) that came with the computer before installing it. You only want one ‘always-on’ anti-virus program running on your computer at a time. Otherwise they will get into a fight and really slow your computer down.
