Q: I cannot open my DVD burner? Can you please.

One Response to “How come I cannot open my DVD burner?”

If there is a disk jammed inside: There should be a small hole below the dvd tray that you can stick a paper clip in to get the door to open. From there you can remove any disk that is inside the drive.

Another thing to try is reboot your computer, and see if the door opens after that.

Otherwise, unless you’ve disconnected the power to the dvd drive, the motor is probably dead and you’ll need to replace the drive. Luckily replacement drives are pretty cheap (only around $20).
