What is a good tablet with a 10 inch screen and e-ink technology?

by on March 19, 2011

Q: I’m looking for a tablet that has following features
1.) At least 10″ capacitative /resistive color screen.
2.) option to switch to e-ink or similar technology that doesn’t put strain on eyes.

I don’t care about OS.
I don’t care much about storage space as long as external cards work.
I don’t care if or not it belongs to a famous brand.
Please do suggest me something and please mention price(in rupees) and availability (in india) as well.

If you want e-ink instead of LCD, you can only get black and white, with no touch screen and a slow refresh (so only good for reading books, not anything else).

Otherwise, you aren’t going to find a tablet with the features you want yet, since it doesn’t yet exist.

Any other devices that might work we’ve already mentioned to you in your other questions.

If you want to stay up-to-date on new tablets as they come out, I suggest http://www.engadget.com/

now that you say that such tablet does not exist, let me tell you, IT DOES. Its called Notion Ink ADAM (http://www.notionink.com/techspecs.php). Now that i know about it, the reason for asking this question is that, that device isn’t available. One has to order and wait for like 2 months because the supply chain management has something wrong and they don’t deliver soon. I don’t have that much time. So i thought you could suggest something similar.

The Adam uses an LCD display.
