What is the best network card to use as a replacement in my HP Pavilion?

Looks like your computer should have one free PCI slot and one free PCI-Express x1 slot.
First, I’d suggest you check to make sure one of these slots is still available (pop open the computer).
Then just buy a well reviewed card from newegg or amazon that works for the slot you have open.

You don’t need to be too picky with nic cards, assuming they work correctly you can’t really tell the difference between them. Something between $8 and $30 should suit you just fine.
