Is it normal for a full virus scan to take 15 hours?

Q: hi i started a full scan on my macbook windows 7
through kaspersky pure internet security,
started scan 11.30 pm finished 2.30 pm next day .
thats 15 hours is that normal . also kaspersky notifications part freeze or so appeared a few times ‘
also e
torrent in my kaspersky says its highly critical and needs to be updated to 2.0.4. how do i do this and is it free / finally what is torrent for is it needed ,or could i have somethink similar running in it’s place .

    If you are unsure what a torrent is I would just delete the application from add/remove programs in the control panel.

    15 hrs is a long time to run a scan but depending on the type of files on your system and the size it may not be out of the norm.

    If Kaspersky freezes up you might also have some form of infection.

    Try going to http://malwarebytes.com and download their free program and run a full scan on your computer. If it finds any threats remove them. If it doesnt you may just need to reinstall the kaspersky software.
