Can friends that don’t know each other see what each other writes on facebook?

by on June 18, 2011

Q: I have just opened a facebook profile/account. Alot of my friends are from different groups and dont no each other. When I log in I see things that people have posted, comments, what they have been doing ect, on the news feed bit from different friends from different groups, all mixed together. Sometimes my brother might write somthing on there thats abit embarrasing that I dont want everyone to see. So if my mate kelly is in her profile writing what she has been doing ect, will she be able to see what my brother has put, and stuff from other friends of mine she does not know. Thanks for your help!

In general, two people on facebook won’t see what each other writes unless they are both facebook friends.

The exceptions to this would be if you posted something and both kelly and your brother commented on it, they would see each other’s comments.

Since you’ve got a new account you should take some time and go through all your privacy settings for facebook. Here is a nice guide: http://lifehac.kr/kPMpae
