What is the most used and versitle video conference software?

by on June 21, 2011

Q: Is there a such thing as a video conferencing service that does not require both parties to use the same program?

For example, If I am setting up a skype video conference with someone, they would need skype also, if they did not have skype than we would not be able to video conference.

I need a service that is the most functional, and common.

I hope this is a question in your line of expertise, and I understand If you do not have an answer.

Skype has by far the largest market share, and works with just about any computer out there. It’s also free to do video conferencing, so if someone doesn’t have skype software installed they just need to set it up and you’re good to go.

Odds are if anyone is doing video conferencing with a computer, they are going to be using Skype.
