How can I log my childs Internet usage?

by on June 26, 2011

Q: My son has a laptop with his own user account and mine is the administrator. How would i be able to keep a log of his history and transfer it to my user without having to keep logging into his account to check his history. He needs keeping an eye on and what sites he visits and i just want to check his history when i log into my account and not his.

There are is lot of different software out there that can monitor computer usage. One of the better ones is called Spector Pro. It records all movements and can be played back as a video.

It is however a little pricey at $99

Vista and Windows 7 have a lot of parental controls built right in. Check out this quick demo video from Microsoft: http://bit.ly/mnsv6j
