Q: I have a WD Passport 500gig ext dr. I am getting the following message when I try to access it.
F:/ is not accessible There is not enough space on disk. I have only 38gig of files on the drive.

  1.

First thing to try is a different USB cable. Ideally one that is shorter if possible. Many people have had a hard time with bad usb cables sent with the drives.

After that try changing the passport to use a different drive letter. Drive letter assignment instructions are here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307844

After that try using the drive on a different computer to see how it works there.
