Will storing my file on my C drive slow down Windows Vista?

by on July 2, 2011

Q: On my laptop i have 2 drives in my Computer, one of them Named ‘Vista (C:) and the other ‘Data (E:)
So far i have only used the vista drive and i was wondering if by clogging up that drive with everything, will it slow vista down?

Also i would like to know how can i move all my Data from the C drive to my E drive?

Thanks

Nope, having files on your c drive won’t slow vista down unless you fill up the drive. Vista need some free space on the drive to work properly. I’d suggest keeping a minimum of 10 gigs free on the c drive if possible.

To move files from one drive to the other you can just drag and drop the folders from one drive to the other while holding down the shift key, then click on ‘move’. This will move the files
