According to the manufacturers site is can connect up to 5 devices. But warns it can slow your connection. I would venture to say it can connect 5 labtops but you would not be able to connect your ipod/ipad/mp3 players in the meantime.
Q.How many connections can I have at any one time on one E5830 device?
A.The maximum number of devices that can be connected simultaneously is 5. However, if multiple devices use the internet at the same time (through the E5830), available internet bandwidth is shared amongst them, which can lead to slow internet speed on devices.
