It really doesn’t matter, any well reviewed wireless modem that is compatible with your internet service will work just fine.

I might suggest the Motorola SURFboard eXtreme Wireless Cable Modem Gateway. However make sure that your ISP will support DOCSIS 3.0

It is not a cheap device, but is the best wireless modem out there at the moment(in my opinion)

One thing to note about SURFboard modems is that they are a little bit more strict when it comes to their send and receive signal strength. I own a SURFboard and I love it but I had to have the cable company come and fix some wiring so that the modem would not reboot randomly due to the signal strength getting to high.

Not all cable techs are the same so if you run into an issue where you have a SURFboard modem and it just randomly restarts you will want to do some research and watch your signal strengths and that will tell you what the issue is and then be prepared to explain to the cable techs that the problem is with the signal on the line so they know to make changes. Most of the time I read stories about how people are talked into cheaper modems that ignore the signal strength and therefore slower speeds.

The majority of people who get SURFboards have no issues but just figured I would throw it out there in case you or anyone else that finds this runs into those issues.
