How come I am unable to burn an entire vob file onto a DVD?

by on July 30, 2011

Q: i’ve been burning some dvds from online. when i burn vob files sometimes they will not burn the whole content from the iso. i use imageburn for burning and have used nero and many other burners but with the same result. the files i tried to to burn were guitar how to play dvds from hal leonard and lick library. hal leonard iso may burn 2 out of the 5 songs listed but the rest come up as extras and when you add them in with main title after burning and putting in dvd player will not play and show “disc error” on my tv. the lick library guitar “how to’s” iso (vob) file will just show disc error after trying in my dvd player hooked to tv. the files do play on my pc and they are there. is there something i am doing wrong or something i can do to correct this? i’ve tried all the top burners with all same results.

The program I use to burn is called Convert X to DVD.

It does allow you to burn 1 or more vob files to DVD. I have beeen using it for about 2 years now and will never go back. It will tell you what the quality will be as well as you add more files. the menus are fairly simple to use.

This would be my best suggestion for the problem you have been having.
